Foundation stone laid for new hotel building in Mainz.

At the niu Mood, the name already says it all: The epithet Mood is an allusion to the good mood of the people of Mainz, which they demonstrate not only during the fifth season of the year. Yesterday, too, the atmosphere was festive. Mayor Michael Ebling was present when the foundation stone for the new hotel was laid and was pleased about the development in the former station area. In addition, Oliver Soini, CEO SOINI ASSET Immobilien, Tobias Hannemann, Director of Operations niu, and Philipp Gross, representing the executing construction group, also welcomed the guests. Afterwards, the guests toasted together to the important milestone of the project.

With the hotel complex consisting of a lifestyle hotel and serviced apartments, two hotel concepts are being launched under one roof in the capital of Rhineland-Palatinate. A total of 279 rooms – including 180 hotel rooms and a further 99 serviced apartments – are being built on the 3,800 sqm site at Mombacher Strasse 6. Handover of the property to tenant Novum Hospitality is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2019. The first guests will find their beds here from spring 2020.
