THE TIME CAPSULE OF 55 FRAMES

Dignified celebration of the laying of the foundation stone

Full of anticipation we have longed for this day and last Saturday it finally happened. The laying of the foundation stone of our project 55 Frames, located on a small island in the heart of Cologne, was on the agenda. For our guests, the numerous buyers and purchasers, the first celebration at the future place of residence.

After a warm welcome and a few words about the project, builder Oliver Soini, project manager Günter Berlo, managing director of the construction company Steffen Walther and site manager Thorsten Donath together filled the so-called “time capsule”, a copper tube with documents about the construction project, a list of all project participants and buyers, a current Cologne daily newspaper and Euro coins. The time testimonies were embedded in the foundation stone and walled in. A few hammer blows and a toast to the successful and accident-free construction concluded the ceremonial part of the laying of the foundation stone. Afterwards we invited to a Kölsch buffet. The event provided an ideal and very familiar setting for the guests to exchange ideas and get to know each other better with the new neighbours and the construction participants present. We are proud to create 55 Frames, a space for urban pioneers, a building with an exceptional architectural, living and lifestyle concept.

We had a terrific day with all our guests and are already looking forward to meeting again for the second celebration at the future home, the topping-out ceremony.
