The topping-out ceremony

Just eight months have passed since the laying of the foundation stone for our Cologne project 55 Frames, and last Saturday we already celebrated the topping-out ceremony. For our guests, the numerous buyers, craftsmen and representatives of the project team, this was already the second celebration at Waidmarkt. In perfect weather and with a typical “Cologne buffet”, the roof of the building shell was traditionally decorated with a topping-out tree, construction manager Thorsten Donath gave a topping-out speech and drank to the health of the house owner. Afterwards, he threw his glass from the roof and it shattered into a thousand shards – a good omen for the builder Oliver Soini. The topping-out ceremony marked the worthy conclusion of a major milestone. Slowly but surely, our buyers can start planning their move, because our building with its extraordinary architecture, living and lifestyle concept will be ready for occupancy as early as March 2017.
