GALILEO in the Sueddeutsche Zeitung
Under the title “Science meets life”, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung reported extensively on the opening of GALILEO. Ms. Gnau-Hahn was one of the first editors to be guided through the multifunctional building, so she was able to share her impressions in the article. The building is highlighted in its role as the “new centre of the campus”, which will unite research and life, as well as bring together scientists and students, employees and guests from all over the world. Mention is also made of the special collaboration. “The Galileo was created in “Public Private Partnership”: The Free State of Bavaria provided the land on a ground lease, and private investors took over the construction, which cost a total of about 250 million euros.” Finally, the editor quotes TU President Thomas Hofmann: “With Galileo, the campus is gaining in quality of life and thus becoming a truly vibrant exchange place of knowledge.”
